Apple announced on Thursday (24th March) to be producing a show that revolves around apps and the App Store. It will be Apple’s first original TV show. Will.i.am is said to be part of the new show. It is unclear if he appears on the show, or if he is working behind the camera. Besides Will, Apple is working with Ben Silverman and Howard T. Owens on it’s first original production. Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Internet software and service, said: “one of the things with the app store that was always great about it was the great ideas that people had to build things and create things.”
The show is based on Silverman’s idea. Silverman is an executive producer of the TV shows “Jane the Virgin,” “Marco Polo” and “Flaked.” Details about the release date, length, story, title or number of episodes are not known. Apple has previously released exclusive music-related content, such as Taylor Swift’s 1989 world tour or exclusive video interviews with artists like Adele. This is the first programme outside of the music category.
